Kyocera to Acquire Advanced Ceramic Business of Germany-based Friatec GmbH

Acquisition strengthens Kyocera’s production and sales infrastructure in Europe

Kyoto/London – Kyocera Corporation today announced that its Germany-based European headquarters, Kyocera Fineceramics GmbH will acquire the advanced ceramics business operations of Friatec GmbH (“Friatec”), a manufacturer and seller of ceramic and plastic components based in Mannheim, Germany through a newly established subsidiary. Friatec has over 150 years of experience in ceramics innovation dating back to its founding in 1863. The operations will be transferred to the subsidiary Kyocera Fineceramics Solutions GmbH in autumn 2019.*1


Approval of Kyocera’s Acquisition of the Ownership of H.C. Starck Ceramics GmbH complete

Kyoto/London - Kyocera Corporation today announced that its Germany-based European headquarters, Kyocera Fineceramics GmbH, has acquired 100% of the shares of H.C. Starck Ceramics GmbH, a European advanced ceramics manufacturing and sales company based in Selb, Germany, subsequent to the agreement with H.C. Starck GmbH in February 2019. The regulatory filings have been completed and the approval from administrative authorities has been obtained.


Kyocera is set to exhibit at Ceramics UK

Kyoto/London - Kyocera (Fineceramics Division) received the „Supplier Quality Award 2018“ from ASML Netherlands B.V. The award was presented to Kyocera at the ASML Suppliers Day on 20th September, 2018.

It took place from April 23 through to April 28 at Germany’s Hannover Exhibition Grounds. Kyocera had expanded its exhibit booth this year with a broader range of products and technologies, featuring diverse innovations used in a wider range of applications as compared to its inaugural appearance at Hannover Messe last year.
